$10 Suggested Donation LONGLEASH Pala Garcia (vn) John Popham (vc) Renate Rohlfing (pn) with guest soprano Sarah Wolfson The Sun Has Set presents sacred and secular musical reflections on the natural world by Franz Schubert and Caroline Shaw. LONGLEASH will perform Schubert's Op. 148 Adagio (Notturno) and Op. 100 Trio in E-flat, the second movement of which was inspired by the Swedish folk song by Albert Isak Berg, "The Sun Has Set". LONGLEASH will be joined by Soprano Sarah Wolfson for Caroline Shaw's Cantico delle Creature, a setting of St. Francis' poem of the same title. Caroline Shaw describes her work as "a kind of hymn to the solitary pedestrian experience, and perhaps an appeal to protect and appreciate what remains of our natural environment."
